Anne has been working in community development and delivering training within the sector for almost twenty years. Alongside two partners, Anne founded and grew a development support and training business, specialising in the support of organisations within the community and public health sectors. It was during this 10 year period that Anne worked with a wide range of church and faith organisation throughout NI and the border counties. If she learnt anything from this time it was that, ‘people, not buildings, are the heart of every church and every community and we all have a role to play in supporting each other in times of need.’ Anne has always had a particular interest in the now well documented links between poverty, debt and poor health, particularly mental health issues.
Anne lives in Draperstown with her husband and two teenage boys. As well as volunteering with a number of local organisations, Anne enjoys hill walking and standing on the sideline of various pitches cheering on her children!
