Eddie McDowell

Eddie was born and grew up in Belfast. He married Florence in 1980, and they have two children, Jordan and Chloe. Eddie studied Theology at Belfast Bible College in the mid-1980s, is a graduate of the Institue of Management, and has worked in the voluntary and community sector for 20 years.
Believing that the process of community development is the most empowering and enabling way for the church to express its beliefs in action, in ministry and in mission, Eddie has served on the boards of various church-based and other voluntary and community organisations, and is currently Chair of LINC, a North Belfast-based initiative focusing on the post-conflict needs of local communities.
Eddie was formerly Development Officer with the Irish Council of Churches, and has been Director of CCWA in Northern Ireland since 2002.
