REFLEXION

REFLEXION is an opportunity for people who are giving their time in community projects, or anyone who is interested in the issues involved, to take a step back and consider how their faith connects with their experience and ideas of community work and social action.

REFLEXION will help you explore how your faith and your experience affect each other.

REFLEXION will help you explore what the Bible has to say about social action.

  • poverty
  • justice
  • mission
  • evangelism
  • values
  • division
  • peace and reconciliation
  • motivation
  • equality
  • sectarianism
  • community
  • faith in action

These are only some of the issues encountered when working on the ground in Northern Ireland.  REFLEXION is a programme of learning, experience and reflection, aiming to help you make sense of these issues.

You can be part of REFLEXION in different ways:

  • join with volunteers from a variety of projects, meeting regularly throughout the year
  • invite a programme facilitator to come to your project, either on an ongoing basis or to deliver one-off sessions on relevant topics

During the programme you will encounter:

  • Scripture
  • chat and discussion, one-to-one and in groups
  • experience
  • guided reflection
  • journaling and personal reflection
  • residentials
  • seminars

REFLEXION To reflect is to take the time to make the connections between faith and experience; to take the opportunity to learn more about yourself, about God and about the world; to grow.

REFLEXION is currently free of charge, and we are working to make it as widely and flexibly available as possible, so please do get in touch to discuss the possibilities.
