Volunteering

Community Work From A Christian Perspective is the volunteer development programme associated with CCWA (NI), seeking to encourage Christians to give their time in community work initiatives around Northern Ireland.  CWCP helps individuals find the best place for them to volunteer, while also providing support and training.

CWCP operates in three main ways:

• Volunteer For A Change seeks to place and support volunteers, full-time or part-time, in Christian faith-based community projects in disadvantaged neighbourhoods in Northern Ireland.
• REFLEXION provides an opportunity for people who are giving their time in community projects to take a step back and consider how their faith connects with their experience of community work and social action.
• The CWCP Network is an opportunity for practitioners working in Christian faith-based community projects, or other Christian community work practitioners, to meet together regularly for mutual support, encouragement and reflection.

Community Work From A Christian Perspective is funded by the International Fund for Ireland and by Tearfund.
